Jyotisha means ज्योति: + ऐष: ( This is light) ऐष:ज्योति:.. 

        some of our believer says that Jyoti + Isha ( ज्योति+ ईश) Meaning light of God( Shiva) which is One myth.. and This myth uncovered connection of unrealistic Remedies and Rituals to please the God for Removal of Graha dosha.We have connected life supporting Education to The God and Mythology.. and derived Many Useful and Logical meanings also in the form of slokas.. but truly Jyotisha is Vedic not pauranik.. Now understand the difference between Vedas and Puranaas. puranaas is the collective work of Stories that describe the Glory of Three Gods( Bhramha,Vishnu , Mahesh)and Three Goddesses( Sarasvati ,Laxmi and Shakti )i.e three Gunas Satva, Rajas and Tamas ) over Devas ( son of Aditi). The top three sons of Aditi are Aditya,Indra and Vishnu.

          Now In this context Devas considered as a planets like sun ( Surya Deva) ,Moon ( Chandra Deva).. which rules Swarga ( The place of Bliss and Comfort).And Asuras( Daityas ( son of Diti).. who rules pataal lok ( place of Underworld where all the crimes and Quarrels have done.) 

           Traditional remedies are done to please the Devas .. not universal particals moves around sun known as planets.

         But Vedas are the texts before puranaas. 

     Vedas includes the chants and Slokas for natural Elements like Sun ,clouds and Fire.. named (सवितु, इंद्र,रुद्र...) And In Vedas Our Maharishis have done the personification of Natural elements and universal particals , To understand Vedas means to know the Glory of Natural or universal elements,stars and planets and for that you have to understand the *vedanga* known as Jyotisha , you have to understand Chanda, vyakaran, Nirukta also along with jyotisha to understand the traditional , spiritual Glory of Natural and universal particals completely.

*(1) Vedic Astrology

- The Father of Vedic Astrology is Maharishi Bhrigu.. Maharishi Brighu had studied More than 4 lac Horascope and compiled his samhinta known as Brighu samhinta.. He mainly focuses on the behaviour of Planets in a perticular houses.. He developed the concept of Conjunction and formed various yogas and Doshas. He also Developed predictions from Time,Tithi ,year and Day of the birth.. also given Prediction from Gana,Yoga,Balav, yoni and Nadi of a perticular person.. plus explained prediction from the Nakshatra padas of Individual..Bhrigu rushi developed the systems like Brighu chakra paddhati,Brighu Nandi Nadi and ,Brighu Bindu.

*Then Maharishi parashara* developed the Concept of Kal purusha kundali and Sthir karaka system.. He developed the system of predictions from Rashi and Introduced Rashi Dispositor system.. he also Introduced Vishontari Mahadasha system and formed yogas like Raj yoga,viprit Raj yoga and Nich bhang rajyog.. His Work Brihad parashar hora shastra and Laghu parashari slokas belived as the Code of Conduct in the field of Astrology..

Jemini system

Jemini rushi was the follower student of Rishi parashara.. he Also had done commendable work in the field of Astrology, he developed Char Karaka system, Grouping of Rashi system and Char dasha system.. He had given a list of Astrological Sutraas known as *Jemini Sutra*

               We Know Parashari system as Vedic Astrology. And We by the time Mixed the Vedic Astrology and so Called believed Pauranik Astrology.. means we are confused between two meanings of astrology i.e ( This is light and Light of God)
